*AN IRANIAN MAN LIVED AT THE AIRPORT FOR 18 YEARS*
Iranian exile, lived in Paris airport for 18 years at the ‘Terminal’, dies of heart attack
Mehran Karimi Nasseri breathed his last on Saturday at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport.
The Iranian man Nasseri, A.K.A ‘Sir Alfred’, first settled at the airport in 1988 after the United Kingdom denied him political asylum as a refugee despite the fact that he had a Scottish mother.
The Iranian man who inspired ace filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s movie ‘The Terminal’, Mehran Karimi Nasseri, breathed his last on Saturday at Terminal 2F of Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The cause of death has been reported as a heart attack by Associated Press, which also shared that the police and medical professionals were ultimately unable to save Nasseri and that he had returned to the airport in recent weeks to live there again.
Nasseri, who also goes by the name ‘Sir Alfred’, first settled at the airport in 1988 after the United Kingdom denied him political asylum as a refugee despite the fact that he had a Scottish mother. Post which, he deliberately chose to reside at the Paris airport after declaring himself stateless.
Reportedly, he always kept his luggage by his side at the airport and spent time reading, writing diary entries and studying economics. He left the airport when he was hospitalized in 2006, which was 18 years after he first settled at the terminal.
Taking inspiration from his unconventional situation, Steven Spielberg decided to make a film on him, which ultimately released in 2004 and was titled ‘The Terminal’. The movie starred Tom Hanks as an Eastern European man who resides in New York’s John F. Kennedy airport after being denied entry to the United States.
According to a report published by NY Times in 2003, Spielberg purchased the rights to Nasseri’s life story for roughly $250,000.
NIGERIAN STUDENT CAUGHT WITH $8M IN UK
The $8m found in the residence of a Nigerian student in London is probably a looted money from Nigeria’s treasury by his father, uncle, family member politician that has contributed to the ruination of Nigeria’s economy.
The confiscated $8m is not going to be returned to Nigeria according to British law on fraudulently acquired money. Man! It’s incredible and mind numbing! A Nigerian student stashed $8m in a wooden safe in his apartment. I guess someone close to him tipped off the UK bailiffs. I hope the UK authorities disclose the man’s identity.
A Fantastically Corrupt country called Nigeria. And there are Nigerians rooting for Fantastically Corrupt persons to be elected President of our beleaguered country, Nigeria.

Hate never spreads through knowledge. It always spreads through ignorance. This is how societies pay the price of ignorance.
Ignorance is the reason we hate others based on what we heard about them (In most cases without evidence) not what we know.
Please don’t hate anyone because of what they told you about him or her.
Remember someone’s enemy can be your helper…
